Ce-Ce and Kari M. came by for a Christmas visit with their Mom and brought in many items from our wish list for the residents.

Cub Scouts Pack 42

Cub Scouts Pack 42 built two great dog house for QAS outside runs. We’d like to thank Pack 42 for all their hard work. They are amazing kids!

Abby Hauvuy of Bridgewater had her 4th birthday party and she wanted to donate to the shelter to help care for the puppies & kitties waiting for their forever homes.  

We received many items on our wish list for the animals to enjoy.  We appreciate the generosity and compassion of her family and friends.

Many thanks to Charlie L. of Arlington who celebrated his 5th birthday by sharing with the animals.

His family arrived with many donations from our “wish list” for the residents, as well as a check. His grand aunt, Rose Giglio, one of our dedicated volunteers came along for the presentation to Kit Burke our Shelter Director.

Hannah B., Cara H. & Nathalie O. arrived at the shelter with multiple cartons of litter and paper towels.

Kiera W. had her 12th birthday and asked friends and family to donate for the care of the animals.

Kiera is a student at the Woodward School in Quincy. We thank her friends and family for their generosity.

Kayla M. made microwaveable rice bags and sold them raising $130  for the care of the animals. Kayla is in the 5th grade at Merrymount School in Quincy.

Doug Aylward

On Saturday we had a special visitor from Rowley, MA. Doug Aylward and his family came with a carload of donations from our “wish list”.  Doug is in the 3rd grade at the Pine Grove Elementary School in Rowley. His “Aunt Joan” of Quincy, a friend of QAS, passed away recently and Doug wanted to do something in her memory. He decided to do a “wish list” drive at his school.

Included were 147 cans of food, over 100 pounds of dry food, treats and biscuits along with other items and a check donation. 

Abigail Adams Middle School in Weymouth

Abigail Adams Middle School in Weymouth 5th grade students, Danny, Evan & Shayne along with fellow students ran a project to help animals in “no kill” shelters. During that time a student’s 18 year old cat named “Little Kitty” passed away and they decided to donate the $125 in his memory.
