Delilah

Delilah is a beautiful two-year-old bully/boxer mix who is ready for a fresh start and a family to truly call her own. She came to the shelter as a surrender with another dog. It’s clear that Delilah spent much of her early life being used for breeding — but despite that, her spirit is incredibly loving, resilient, and hopeful.

Delilah is a true people-lover and certified cuddle bug. She forms strong bonds with her humans and is happiest when she’s close by — whether that’s snuggling on the couch, going for a walk, or simply enjoying time outdoors together. She has a playful side and enjoys exploring the world, making her a wonderful match for an active home that likes walks, adventures, and spending time outside.

With other dogs, Delilah can be cautious and needs thoughtful introductions. She has shown that she can live successfully with another dog when given time and structure. In foster care, she lived with another resident dog and did well overall, though the resident dog was less enthusiastic about sharing the home. Delilah does best when relationships with other dogs are built slowly and with patience — she may feel overwhelmed meeting new dogs right away but can relax and settle once she understands the routine and feels secure.

Because of this, Delilah is looking for an experienced bully-breed owner who understands dog behavior and is willing to support her continued social development. She could thrive as an only dog soaking up all the attention, or with a calm, tolerant canine companion who will allow a gradual adjustment period.

Delilah hast so much love to give and is ready for someone who will see her not just for her past, but for the joyful, affectionate, playful dog she is today.

If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy and a devoted snuggle partner, Delilah may be your girl.

Adoption fee is $375.

Thor

Thor is a 1½‑year‑old mixed‑breed sweetheart who has come a long way since arriving with us. He was nervous at first, but with patience and kindness he’s been showing his true, wonderful personality. Thor has previously lived with small children and another dog, and he’s ready to bring that same gentle spirit to a new home. His adoption fee is $375.  Come by the Quincy Animal Shelter if you would like to meet him.

Daryl

Daryl is a friendly and curious 2-year-old male.  He is friendly and curious.  He is FIV+, which means that he has a weaker immune system, so it is important to have a good relationship with your vet and have him seen if he is not feeling well.  His adoption fee is $225.

Simon and Theodore

Simon and Theodore are 2-year-old brothers.  We are still trying to figure out how bonded they are, so for now we are keeping them together in the same room.  They have lived with children and were both recently neutered and are ready for a fresh new start.  If they are adopted together, the adoption fee is $400.  If they are adopted separately, the adoption fee is $225 each.

Toby

Meet Toby 💛

Toby is a sweet 8-year-old Coton de Tulear who will be celebrating his 9th birthday on March 4th — and our biggest wish is to help him find his forever home before his special day.  While his fluffy appearance makes him look irresistibly cuddly, Toby prefers that trust be built first before being reached for — respecting his pace helps him feel secure and confident.

Toby spent most of his life with the same person, so coming into the shelter has been a big transition for him. Like many dogs adjusting to change, he appreciates patience, gentle introductions, and humans who will allow him the time he needs to feel safe and comfortable. Once he builds trust, Toby shows just how special he is.

True to his breed, Toby enjoys routine and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. He has a soft spot for cozy blankets, plush beds, and relaxing close to his favorite people.

Toby has spent many cozy days with shelter staff, happily settling beside them and soaking up quiet companionship. He’s also happy to show off his adorable twirling skills when treats are involved — a guaranteed way to make you smile!

Toby will let you know when he needs to go out for potty breaks and enjoys having a consistent routine. He would do best in a patient, understanding adult only home where he can continue to build confidence and feel safe.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward kindness and patience with sweet companionship, Toby may be the perfect match for you.

Adoption Fee is $375.  If you are interested in meeting Toby, please come by the Quincy Animal Shelter on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am-4pm.

Oliver

🐾 Meet Oliver — Our Sweet Senior Gentleman 🐾

Oliver is a very handsome 9‑year‑old boy with the softest heart and the most gentle soul. He does have a complex medical history, but don’t let that scare you away—Oliver is truly as sweet as they come, and he deserves a home where he can feel safe, loved, and understood.

Oliver has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), which can flare up during times of stress. He also has a heart condition and bowel disease, so he’ll need an adopter who can help him stay comfortable and healthy with the right care. Despite all of this, Oliver’s spirit is as bright as ever.

He loves attention, enjoys being near his people, and is happiest when he’s getting affection or relaxing in a cozy spot. Oliver is a loyal, loving companion who just wants a calm, caring home to call his own.

If you have room in your heart for a special boy who will give that love right back, Oliver is waiting to meet you. Come by the Quincy Animal Shelter to meet him.

Red

Meet Red ❤️

3 years old • Shy & Sweet • FLUTD Warrior

Red is a handsome 3-year-old boy with a quiet charm and a gentle heart. While he may be shy and reserved at first, with time and patience, he reveals his sweet, loving nature. Red needs an experienced cat owner who understands that trust takes time and is willing to help him come out of his shell at his own pace.

Red also has a condition called FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), which is manageable with a proper diet and care. He’ll thrive in a calm, low-stress home where he can feel safe, supported, and loved.

If you’re looking for a quiet companion and have the heart and experience to help a shy cat flourish, Red may be the perfect addition to your family.

Red is currently in foster and not at the shelter. Please reach out to the shelter to set up a meet and greet if you’re interested.
