Gertie is a 1 year old female who is just so adorable. She’s a little reserved but loves to observe all the happenings from her enclosure. In the right home we think she’ll build a lot more confidence. Unsure about other pets, we think a calm cat would be okay with her, dogs might be too much. Adoption fee is $225

Charlotte

She recently had a dental procedure, which has left her with the cutest little tongue that sometimes peeks out, adding to her unique charm. Some volunteers have found slowe she will begin to lean into pets and is really a sweet girl underneath all those hisses
If you’re interested in adopted Charlotte please come visit her at the shelter Tuesday-Thursday or Saturday 11am-4pm or Friday by appointment. Her adoption fee is $225.
Franklin
Meet Franklin, a 1.5-year-old handsome boy with a lot of personality and charm! Franklin came to us as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery—but what we do know is that he’s a friendly, social kitty who enjoys being around people and is curious about the world around him. He has shown interest in other cats and may benefit from having a feline companion in his future home.
Franklin does have some special needs and is looking for an experienced cat owner who understands feline behavior. He shows signs of hyperesthesia, a condition that can cause him to become overstimulated at times, which may lead to him using his teeth or claws. Because of this, he would do best in an adult-only home with someone who can recognize his signals and help manage his environment. He is currently on medication to help manage his symptoms, and it will be important for his adopter to continue this care.
With the right home, Franklin has so much love and companionship to offer. If you’re interested in learning more about him we encourage you to come meet him at the shelter Tuesday–Thursday and Saturday from 11am–4pm, or Friday by appointment. You can also reach out via email at adoptions@quincyanimalshelter.org.
Cupcake
Cupcake is 12 years and looking for her forever home. She is very sweet and loves to be pet. She has a calm and gentle demeanor and would do wonderful in a home that matches her energy.
As a senior lady she does have some health conditions. Her hyperthyroidism and hypertension are being managed beautifully with medication which she takes like a champ. She is also prone to skin and upper respiratory infections. A low stress environment has helped to keep flare ups under control.
Please don’t let her age or medical issues scare you off. This girl is as sweet as they come and has so much love to give. She still likes to play and then she ready to curl up for a good nap. We’re unsure how she feels about other pets but given her demeanor we think dogs may be too much for her. A calm adult cat might be all right with her, with proper Introductions of course!
Cupcakes adoption fee is $125. Please come meet her at the shelter Tuesday-Thursday/Saturday 11am-4pm or Fridays by appointment.
Delilah
Hi everyone, I’m Delilah! I wanted to introduce myself in case you didn’t know that I am still looking for my forever home. I’m a 2-year-old boxer mix who loves people! I would make the best sidekick, and I’m looking for a human who is a confident leader who will give me structure and boundaries, as I sometimes show big feelings with unfamiliar things.
Love to walk? I’m your girl, walking is my favorite, and I will walk as far as you’ll let me go, and I’ll take you on every sniffari. I did well in a foster home, but the resident dog wasn’t a fan of sharing their space with a beauty queen like me. My friends at QAS think I could live with another dog if I am introduced on my terms and allowed time to decompress, but I would be just as happy as your one and only. Speaking of happy, I snort like Miss Piggy when I am content. Last but most importantly, I love treats and will take treats very gently from your hand. I can’t wait to meet you!
Adoption fee is $375
Red
Meet Red ❤️
3 years old • Shy & Sweet • FLUTD Warrior

Red needs an experienced cat owner who understands that trust takes time and is willing to help him come out of his shell at his own pace.

If you’re looking for a quiet companion and have the heart and experience to help a shy cat flourish, Red may be the perfect addition to your family.
Red is currently in foster and not at the shelter. Please reach out to the shelter to set up a meet and greet if you’re interested.
