Penny’s story is one of courage and second chances. Penny was found alone on the streets of Memphis, terrified and shut down. Shelter life was too much for her, and because she was so scared, she ended up on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, she was adopted and for several years had a home, but sadly they could not keep her.
Now this 3-year-old Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix is again looking for a forever family. Penny is an affectionate girl who loves walks, playtime with other dogs, and gentle cuddles. She’s shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s your loyal shadow and best friend.
Penny would thrive in a home where she can be active, loved, and part of the family. A confident dog sibling would be a bonus, but she’s also happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only.
We are looking for a home where she can continue to feel secure — a patient, kind adopter who’ll give her the stability she’s never had. She’s smart, loyal, and endlessly loving once she trusts you.
This brave little survivor has come such a long way, and she’s ready for her forever home — one where she’ll never be abandoned again.
Come meet Penny and see how a rescued heart can change your world.
