Carolina has some tough luck. Abandoned by her owner, a good Samaritan neighbor fed her for awhile, then brought her to us. She was heavily matted and uncomfortable, thus understandably upset. She has been very frightened and sad in the shelter. Now that her matts have been shaved and she is more comfortable, she is looking for a special forever home with an experienced cat owner who can give her space and help her learn to trust again. We are not sure how Carolina would be with other pets, but possibly with proper introductions she would would be fine.
