Mickey's Medical Fund
Mickey was a little puppy that one of our Volunteers adopted a few years ago. Sadly, Mickey died a few months after adoption from suspected anti-freeze poisoning. This fund was set up in Mickey's honor so no other animal would have to go without medical care due to lack of funds.
Mickey's Medical Fund pays for extraordinary medical care that our normal medical budget just does not allow for. As a
no-kill shelter we do everything possible to make sure that every animal in our care gets the best medical care that we can afford, it's the least we can do for our faithful friends.
Do you remember Ace? Ace was a big, gangly 15 month old German Shepherd puppy that was surrendered to QAS. Within a short time we found out that Ace needed his hips replaced. This expensive surgery is not something we could afford to do so we turned to you - our friends, neighbors, past adopters for help and donations so we could give that big puppy the chance at life that he deserved. Through the generous donations made to the Mickey Fund, Ace had his surgery and is now living happily ever after.
