My name is Harley - I love to go for long walks, and I like car rides too! I would love to go for a run to burn some of my energy! Give me a toy or bone and you will have my undivided attention. I do like kids, but I am a big guy and I tend to knock the littler ones over, unintentionally of course, so maybe older than 10 would be best. I would, however, like to be the only animal in the house though. I have gone through obedience training and need an owner that will be a leader for me to look up to. When can I go home with you and cuddle up next to you? Contact Sarah - (857) 526-6186 or 781-812-1227.

My husband and I are the loving parents of two Yorkshire Terriers, they were our first children. Baxter is pure bred Yorkie with a leg abnormality which makes him taller than your regular puppy. His birthday is 11-22 and he is six years old and in perfect health. After having Baxter for a couple of months we realized that he was lonely and needed a friend... that is when we bought Brinkley from a breeder. Brinkley is a Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix and is extremely handsome. He is also six years old and his birthday is 10-14. I have to be honest and say that I love both of these dogs with all of my heart and the thought of them not being part of our family any longer breaks my heart. My husband and I have since had a child who is 2 and have another one on the way. I just feel like Baxter and Brinkley deserve to be in a home where they can get undivided attention because that is truly what they deserve. We are hoping that you can help us get them adopted. We don't want to just surrender them to the Shelter, we would prefer to act as a foster family for them until they can be placed somewhere. Does this sound like something you would be able help us with? Attached is their personal ads and photos. I look forward to hearing from you! - Erin
Baxter
Baxter - Birthdate is 11-22-04, so he will be seven this fall, he is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier with a leg abnormality which makes him taller than you would expect, he fluctuates in weight from 20 (his slim version) to 23 pounds (his winter weight). He is a very active loving dog. He would play with you in the yard all day catching sticks, balls, or even worn socks. He is protective of his home and does bark when someone new comes along, but warms up quickly to them once introduced. He has the classic Yorkie syndrome of thinking he is much larger and ferocious than he is, when we take him to the dog park he isn't intimidated, not even by a Great Dane. He is house trained and does very well in the car, as he takes at least two car trips a day for a long walk at the dog park. He was neutered when we first got him and has outgrown all the puppy habits, like chewing and scratching. His is up to date on his shots; Baxter is one of those dogs who really have no fear, and his new favorite thing this summer is swimming, both in the pool and at the beach.
Brinkley
Brinkley - Birthdate is 10-14-04, so he too will be seven this Fall. Brinkley is a Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix, which gives him a little bit of a longer tail and a cute little curl to the end of his hair. Brinkley is a little smaller than Baxter and weighs between 16 and 17 pounds. He is more of a lounging dog, though he does enjoy going to park and playing in the yard, he is also very happy cuddled up beside you taking a nap. Brinkley also believes he is a ferocious dog, but shies away much quicker than Baxter. Brinkley has more of a scaredy cat temperament; he likes to snuggle up beside you when there is thunder and is afraid of the crinkling of plastic bags. He was neutered when we bought him from a breeder in Oklahoma, and is up to date on his shots. Brinkley needs his ears cleaned regularly as he gets a build-up, but has been checked several times and does not have ear mites. Brinkley does fine in the car, but it is not his favorite thing, he does not like really long rides in the car and would prefer to sit on your lap if at all possible.
If you are interested in giving either/both of these dogs a loving new home please call Steve at 617-633-4106
