A pair of bright green eyes will look out at you from Hancock's kennel. He's a magnificent two-year-old, long-haired, all black male cat who found himself abandoned in an apartment with some other cats. Fortunately there are people out there with a conscience and they were saved from starvation and brought to the Shelter. Even this experience with lack of human kindness has not affected this loving boy who wants nothing more than to cuddle up to you and have you pet and talk to him. He is a pure joy to be around. In the short time he has been with us he has been no trouble. When it has been time to straighten up his kennel, he rubs up against your hand and looks at you longingly when you stop rubbing his head or tickling his ears. Once he is back to his former glory, a trip to the groomers is in order, he would grace any home with his stunning looks and pleasant personality. Come by and meet this handsome guy and shake paws.

This six-year-old beauty was dumped at our door in a cardboard box, discarded along with a feline friend. Yet another example of how forgiving these animals are, Astrid must have been scared and confused at being in strange surroundings, however, she displayed a most gracious disposition, purring and rubbing against our hands when we offered her affection. She has a stunning medium-long coat of caramel/chocolate/black with a fluffy tail and a pair of crystal clear green eyes. She's ready to be accepted into a home where she can love and be loved and appreciated for the sweet, trusting soul she is. Do you have room in your heart and home for this lovely lady who truly deserves a second chance to be secure and happy? Come by and introduce yourself soon.

Tex is a large, loving black and white male cat with affection to spare looking for his forever home. Tex is very friendly and loves to be made a fuss of, pet him, tickle his chin/ears/cheek, chat away about your day; he'll take it all in stride. With his laid back attitude toward life, he would be a welcome relief from the stresses of every day life! Stop by and meet him for yourself. Tex is 3 years old.

Angel is one of our more mature residents, 9-1/2 years old, who still enjoys a game or two along with attention. Surrendered with Midnight after their owner passed away, he finds himself once again looking for a warm windowsill to watch the birds and squirrels cavort across the lawn. Perhaps a spot at the end of the bed to snooze on, waiting for your return? He is an orange and cream male, with a short coat and he is always rubbing against the door of his kennel when we come in. Come in and meet him soon!

Garland was born outside and has learned about life on the inside from her foster home. Garland, a striking Tiger/Tabby, is a little reserved. However, she has allowed us to pet her and listens when spoken to in a soft tone. She has made wonderful progress adjusting. If you have room in your heart and your home for this youngster, you'll be giving a second chance for her to grow into a lifelong companion who will give you so much in return for providing her with that opportunity. Stop by soon. Garland is 9 months old.

I was rescued from outside when I was left abandoned to fend for myself. When my rescuer took me in, I ate 3 cans of cat food and boy was that yummy!! I am a friendly, talkative, dapper young fellow and sport a black and white tuxedo jacket. Having my head and back scratched feels wonderful, but I hate my belly rubbed, so please do not do that. I also love other kitties and catnip balls, as I am very playful. Lying on your bed with you makes me feel happy and content. I am 3 years old.
